What is Resless Leg Syndrome?
Restless leg syndrome is a condition that a person wants to move his legs because of restless feeling. İt is also a neurological disorder. İt happens in the usually nigthttime, when people are sitting or lying down. For most people, this urge is more intense when a person is trying to sleep. Moving temporarily relaxes this uncomfortable feeling. Symptoms of restless leg syndrome like tingling,itching or atching can last for hours and it prevent people from getting sleep they need.
Restless leg syndrome also affects the daily activities of people because they interrupt their sleep. So people with restless leg syndrome are sleepless and fatigue during the day.
Experts believe that low iron levels in the brain may be responsible for RLS. It is also thought that the imbalance in dopamine levels may also cause RLS. Genetic predisposition or an enviromental triggers are also believed to contribute.
Symptoms of Restless Leg
The main symptom is an strong and uncontrollable urge to move the legs. Others:

The symptoms are worsening in the evening: Symptoms occur mostly at night. People with RLS have trouble falling asleep because these symptoms are worse at night.
Leg twitching: One of the most associated condition is the twitching of the leg while the person sleeps at night.
People are describing these feelings as: crawling, burning, creeping, tingling, itching, aching, similar to electric shocks
You can change your lifestyle to relax the symptoms
Reduce or avoid stimulants in the evening (such as caffeine, alcohol and tobacco)
Get some exercise such as walking, swimming,
Follow the regular sleep schedule (Go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday)
Massaging your legs
Taking a hot bath before bed
Applying cold or hot compress to legs
