Blackheads are a very common skin problem. Blackheads seen on both male and female skin are actually a type of acne. The most common place in the face is the nose. Blackheads can be seen not only on the face, but also on the back, chest, back, arms and shoulders.

What causes blackheads?

Blackheads occur when occlusion occurs in the follicles in your skin. This oil, called Sebum, helps keep your skin soft. Dead skin cells and fat are collected in gap in the skin follicle. When the skin is exposed to air, blackheads form.

Some factors cause blackheads:

The body produces too much fat
Accumulation of Propionibacterium acnes on the skin
Hormonal changes
Irritation of hair follicles when dead skin cells are not cleaned7
Polluted air, wind, insufficient oxygen, sunrays
Skin loses its ability to regenerate as it ages
Side effects of some drugs

How to clean black heads?

Dermotozmetic products: There are many over-the-counter cosmetic products for the treatment of black heads. These products can be in the form of cream, gel or mask and are applied directly to your skin. Cosmetics produced to prevent the formation of it contain components such as salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and resorsinol. They kill bacteria, dry out excess fat and purify the skin from dead skin cells.

Prescription drugs: If dermocosmetic products are not sufficient to treat acne and blackheads, more powerful drugs may be prescribed by the doctor.

Clay mask: Clay masks are very effective in cleaning black heads and opening pores.

Chemical peels: Light peelings that you can apply at home are found in the dermocosmetic sections of the pharmacies. Chemical peelings can be only applied by a dermatologist. Chemical peeling removes blockages and removes dead skin cells that cause blackheads.

Here’s what you can do to get rid of blackheads:

To prevent fat accumulation, wash your face after waking up and before going to bed. Washing more than twice a day can irritate your skin. Use a soft cleanser that does not irritate your skin when washing.
Use fat-free products to prevent your skin problem from worsening.
Change your pillowcase frequently. If you have oily skin, oil and dirt accumulate on your pillowcase, which paves the way for acne formation.
